Meet Cristina, a dedicated zookeeper who tore the ligaments in her ankle during a work accident at the zoo. On her way to rehabilitation, I had a chance encounter with her, and she kindly agreed to be filmed as she shared her story.

In this video, Cristina talks about her injury, her daily routine on crutches, and her experience with her bandaged ankle. She shows off her impressive crutching skills as she navigates several flights of stairs with remarkable speed (crutching downstairs), despite the challenges of her recent injury. You’ll also witness her pushing through moments of visible pain, resting her foot when the discomfort becomes too much.
